[edit] Bug#1 (resolved) : HTTPS

I think there is a problem with the bookmarklet when trying to tag https websites. I tried with Firefox and Opera on different https websites: the bookmarklet loads forever, the usual GUI is not shown.

[edit] Bug#2 (resolved) : Text overlap after editing existing item

There is a text overlap glitch (at least with Firefox). How to reproduce:

  1. Open the main page.
  2. Click on your name in the upper right side of the page, it opens the list of your links.
  3. Put the mouse over a link, click on the orange “edit” button that appears.
  4. Click “edit title and notes”.
  5. Click “close”.
  6. Now you see that the link’s entry is unreadable because various labels overlap.

[edit] Bug#3 (resolved): Log in is not recognised the first time

This may be specific to Safari (3.1.1), but after signing in through the main page once, I am returned to the homepage still not logged in. A subsequent try then logs me in fine.

It seems that third party cookie control (e.g. ZoneAlarm) can cause the problem. It should be turned off for www.faviki.com. Vuknje

[edit] Bug#4 (resolved) : RSS offset

On Faviki's main page, the RSS button links to http://www.faviki.com/rss.php?s=&sort=date&offset=0

Unfortunately, the "offset" parameter of this URL does not work, which means I can not see the older items :-(

Using http://www.faviki.com/rss.php?s=&sort=date&offset=10 shows the same thing as with offset=0

The offset parameter seems to be ignored.

[edit] Bug#5 (resolved): Google search suggests non-concepts

"Infobox Person" is not a DBpedia concept, but it is suggested in the Google search. How to reproduce:

  1. Begin to tag any URL.
  2. Type "Infobox Person" and click on the Google search button.
  3. It suggests "Template:Infobox Person" as the first hit.
  4. Click on "copy" for this hit.
  5. Nothing happens, the resource is (hopefully) not added.

More generally, Google sometimes suggests "Template:" or "Template talk:" pages. Just wanted to mention this small inconsistency, even though it is very minor ;-)

[edit] Bug#6 (not a bug): Shortcuts link not shown when without friends

When in "show without friends" mode, I have no "shortcuts" link. This is quite strange, because this link can be seen on Help#My_Bookmarks_Page.

Actually I almost never use the shortcuts features, but I just wanted to point this out as it looks like an inconsistency. Cheers !

Shortcut link will appear when you save your first shortcut. The idea is - why to bloat you with the feature you don't use? :) Vuknje

[edit] Bug#8 (resolved): User RSS not working correctly

When I try to follow a single user RSS (mine for example) by the url http://www.faviki.com/rss/?s=xxxx&sort=date (where xxxx should be the number of the user), you get all the latest bookmarks from Everybody not just the ones from the single user.

Thanks, it is fixed. Vuknje

[edit] Bug (resolved): OpenID area is invisible within Faviki bookmarklet

[edit] Steps to reproduce

  1. sign out from Faviki
  2. present Faviki bookmarklet

[edit] Result

  • bookmarklet fails to present any part of the OpenID area

[edit] Workaround

  • click within the bookmarklet
  • alt-tab until the OpenID field scrolls up into sight

[edit] Environment

  • Verdana 18 preferred
  • Safari, Mac OS X
  • MacBook Pro, 17", 1920 x 1200 pixels native resolution

— fixed, thanks to Vuk Milicic

[edit] Bug (resolved): repeatedly, unexpectedly signed out after using OpenID to sign in

[edit] Steps to reproduce

  1. use an OpenID (I use myOpenID) to sign in to Faviki
  2. rest for a while
  3. present Faviki bookmarklet

[edit] Reduction 01

  • 2009-08-13 11:02:30: signed in
  • 2009-08-13 11:42:59: presented Faviki bookmarklet
  • fail; I'm not signed in
  • time frame: ~40 minutes

[edit] Reduction 02

[edit] Result

  • bookmarklet shows that the user is not signed in

[edit] Environment

  • Safari, Mac OS X
  • cookies accepted always

— fixed, thanks to Vuk Milicic

[edit] Bug (resolved): anonymous (signed out) users can not search for people AND tags

[edit] Steps to reproduce

  1. at http://www.faviki.com/person/grahamperrin/tag/CrashPlan/exact/false note the proper result of the search
  2. sign out from Faviki
  3. reload http://www.faviki.com/person/grahamperrin/tag/CrashPlan/exact/false

[edit] Result

  • The tags field is emptied.
  • For the search (specified within the URL) the results are wrong.
  • You can re-enter the tag, but when you click the Search button the entry is lost and again the results are wrong.
